With just two team members and catering out of her Chevy Malibu, Chef Samone was able to grow the catering company with corporate catering contracts through law firms, hospitals, and title companies. Unfortunately, at the height of her growth Chef Samone became homeless in 2004 and she had stop catering professionally. What seemed impossible to restart at the present moment, would eventually come back bigger and stronger in the years to come.

Having served in the US Army overseas in Germany, Chef Samone Lett studied Hospitality Management & Tourism and also graduated from Le Cordon Bleu in Orlando with a degree in Culinary Arts. She brings her experience learning international cuisines and an ability to honor peoples’ cultures through food. After graduating culinary school Chef Samone took her chef bag and began to aggressively pursue personal and private chef jobs. She founded Wishful Concepts Catering & Personal Chef Services in 2003 after the demand for catering increased from her personal chef clients.

Wishful Concepts Catering was relaunched and operated out of a shared commissary kitchen. With no website in existence and just a free profile setup on TheKnot, the company’s first wedding was booked since it’s relaunch in Stuart Florida. That wedding resulted in a 5-star review on TheKnot and more weddings started coming in. The growth happened so fast that we had to rent two commissary kitchens in the Orlando area to service the increase of business.

Wishful Concepts Catering won it’s first prestigious award from TheKnot, “The Best of Weddings” for 2013 and has since won the award 7 consecutive times since that date – receiving top reviews from couples, guests, vendors and event venues. In 2014, the catering company acquired it’s first brick-and-mortar location and built out a kitchen facility, consultation and warehouse space, in order to provide full-service catering services. The catering company received other types of recognition such as “The Best of Longwood Florida” after attending a local Food & Wine Festival.

We continued to grow while working with clients such as Florida Hospital, Orange County Schools, and The Department of Homeland Security. We received recognition in local publications such as The Sanford Herald and the Orlando Sentinel, for her first appearance competing on the Food Network hit shows: Cooks Vs. Cons and Food Network Star. Chef Samone Lett decided to rename the company to reflect it’s growth, relocated to Atlanta, and grabbed a catering contract from Tyler Perry Studios in November of 2018. Since then we’ve worked with clients such YouTube, Morehouse, CARTERS, and Edelman.
